His Mr. Fix-It pitch—do we have a winner?
After several disappointing primary finishes, GOP candidate Mitt Romney has retooled his platform pitch yet again – now embracing the role of “Mr. Fix-It,” who fixed the Olympics, Massachusetts, etc… This marks another shift in campaign strategy, replacing three others that didn’t seem to resonate with voters. With a narrow victory in his “home” state (he has at least 4) of Michigan, he is clinging to his new identity with the hopes that it can float him through to the GOP nomination.

With Barack Obama strongly favored — even within Hillary Clinton’s camp — to win a second straight victory in today’s New Hampshire Democratic primary, both rivals are looking to the next battle grounds. But his momentum threatens to swamp her in the next two states as well and shows signs of fracturing her support in the party establishment.

Already some Clinton associates have begun lobbying for her early exit if she loses the primary by a big margin, as polls suggest she could. Several Senate colleagues who have sat on the fence are now in talks with Obama advisers about endorsing the freshman Illinois senator over his more experienced colleague.

Zogby International conducted an extensive national survey examining political beliefs and entertainment preferences. The survey — conducted June 26–29, 2007, including 3,939 adults nationwide and carrying a margin of error of +/– 1.6 percentage points — revealed that America’s entertainment tastes are as polarized as our political views. It appears that just as there are conservatives, liberals and moderates, there are people with red, blue and purple taste.
